G-CAR Research Team

At G-CAR, our researchers are individuals with a passion for scholarship and the promotion of epistemologies from the global south. In order to achieve that, we are continuously learning methods and approaches of application from different perspectives and cultures, in order to understand how to adapt these to our current South African situation. South Africa is a country of more than 60 million people, with eleven official languages and many cultures and sub-cultures with different practices and belief systems. While the purpose of our research is to provide solutions to problems that continue to face us, we need to learn more adaptive approaches so as to co-create solutions with communities that are impacted by the problems being investigated.

We collaborate with researchers from all over the world to solve problems that are not only limited to South Africa, but problems that go beyond our boders into the region and beyond. Our research focusses on Leadership and Management in Education, Public Health, Economics, Entrepreneurship, ICT and Digital Transformation, Society and Culture,  Youth Development and Philosophy.
